Car Hire

Booking

If you booked car hire from the 29th December 2009 then your contract for car hire is with Car Trawler and Car Trawler is the service provider.Any queries regarding the details of your rental including, but not limited to, modifications and cancellations, must be directed to Car Trawler.

 

The rate quoted includes all taxes and charges, Collision Damage Waiver, Breakdown assistance, unlimited mileage and Theft Protection. Optional products and extras including, but not limited to, excess waivers, additional drivers and child seats are not included in the rate and can be purchased upon collection of the vehicle.

 

All car hire prices are based on the fact that the driver is at least 25 years old. If the driver is below this age, then a young driver surcharge may be applied at time of vehicle pick up.

 

When collecting the vehicle the driver must present the following:

a.     A valid credit card in the driver’s name (regardless of whether they booked with a debit or credit card).

b.       Both parts of their driving licence which they must of possessed for a minimum of 2 years with no major endorsements; both photo ID card and the paper counterpart

c.       The car hire booking reference which can be found on the bmibaby flight or car hire confirmation page.

Failure to do these will result in you not being able to rent the vehicle.

 

Car Trawler searches from over 450 suppliers and the vehicles displayed and models listed are the most common used. Car Trawler cannot guarantee the make or model of the rental vehicle displayed on the website will be the same as on pick-up.

Cancellations & Changes

Name Changes

The lead customer name and the pick up location on a reservation cannot be changed. If you wish to change the lead name or the pick up location, then you must cancel the reservation and make a new reservation.

 

Flight Schedule Changes

In the event of a flight schedule change bmibaby will email you confirming the new times and dates of your flight(s). If you have car hire as part of your flight booking, then the following applies:

a.       If your outbound flight has been moved to an earlier or later time but is still on your original departure date, then your car hire booking will be automatically changed to match this.

b.       If your outbound flight has been moved to another day, and your car hire booking was made prior to the 29th December 2009 then you car hire will be cancelled and fully refunded within 60 days. In this situation please book your car hire again via bmibaby.com.

 

Cancellations

Cancellation of a booking must be made a minimum of forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine. If you wish to cancel a booking, the only accepted method is through our Car Trawler Website . Do not cancel your booking with the car rental agent directly as additional fees may apply. In the event of a cancellation notice of which is received by Car Trawler within seven (7) days of the car rental booking date and at least forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine all funds will be reimbursed. In the event of a cancellation notice of which is received by Car Trawler outside seven (7) days of the car rental booking date and at least forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine all funds except a cancellation handling/ administration fee of € 25.00 and the non-refundable Administration Charge (Card processing fee) where applicable, will be reimbursed. In the event of a cancellation notice of which is received by Car Trawler less than forty eight (48) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this booking engine no funds paid will be reimbursed to you, unless the entire rental amount has also been pre paid Car Trawler will retain 3 days rental and Administration Charge (Card processing fee) where applicable. In the event of a cancellation of a booking when the entire rental amount is payable on arrival, there is no fee for a cancellation but you still need to cancel your reservation through our Car Trawler Website .
