  • You will not be able to use online check-in or an airport check-in kiosk.
  • You will be given and required to complete and sign the Declaration Form, contained in a distinctive blue wallet with red and white stripes that advises us who will be collecting your child at the end of their journey. You are also required to bring your valid photo ID, the details of which must match information taken at the time of booking.

The Declaration Form will require the following information:

Taking care of your child

Subject to the below “Arriving at their destination” conditions, members of our staff or our agents will host your child throughout their journey, until they are collected by the nominated adult at the arriving airport.

Parents and guardians are advised that all children are subject to normal airport security procedures which may require the need for physical searching. In completing and signing the declaration form, parents and Guardians authorise such searches in the presence of bmibaby staff or our agents.

Your child will be provided with a holder for the declaration form which they are required to display visibly at all times whilst in our care.

It is essential that we know who will be collecting your child as they will be required to show us formal photographic identification. ie: passport / national ID card / photo driving licence.

Arriving at their destination

Our ground staff will host your child from the aircraft through all the arrival procedures until they have met up with the person nominated to collect them.

If the person collecting your child is delayed, it is essential that you advise us as we have limited hours of operation at some airports.

The safety and security of your child is of utmost importance and we do require photographic identification of the person collecting your child to make sure it is the person you have asked to meet them.

If the arrival person fails to collect the child, the child will be returned at the earliest opportunity to the originating airport with all expenses being the responsibility of the departing parent or guardian.
