In order to assist us with your query without delay, please provide the following details on all correspondence to the Customer Relations Team:


  • Passenger names
  • Booking reference
  • Flight details - route and date


Our turnaround time is currently 10 working days. 

We would ask passengers not to resubmit your claim within this timeframe as this may lead to further delay. 


Customers who would like to apply for a refund of their unused bmibaby flight, following a flight disruption can do so by writing to: bmibaby customer relations, PO Box 737, Castle Donington, Derby, DE74 2XP.

bmibaby can supply letters to support travel insurance claims for flight cancellations or disruptions. These are supplied free of charge where bmibaby is responsible for a flight cancellation or disruption.

All other requests for travel insurance letters, such as confirmation that you have chosen not to use your flight, will be charged at £20.00 per letter, payable by the passenger at the time of request. How do I get to the bmibaby website?

You need to use a web browser and have an active connection to the Internet. Once you have opened your browser type www.bmibaby.com into the address field at the top of the browser and press the enter key. If the bmibaby website doesn’t appear in your window it is likely that your Internet connection is not active.

How do I access different pages and sections of the bmibaby.com website?

The bmibaby.com website has a standard and simple design to help navigation. The main menu is on the top of every page, and you can click on any of the links to access different sections of the website. To start a search, select your preferred airports and dates and click on the 'search' button.

Which Internet browser version should I use to view the website?

For optimum viewing of our site we recommend you use either Internet Explorer v 8.0+ or Firefox 3+. www.bmibaby.com is supported for Internet Explorer v6.0 + and Firefox 2+ although not all functionality maybe available in older browser versions.

How do I check my browser version?

If you are using Internet Explorer, click on 'Help' from the menu bar and then select 'About Internet Explorer'. If you are using Firefox, click on 'Help' from the menu bar and then select 'About Mozilla Firefox'. You will then see a pop up box that will tell you the version of the browser you are using.

How do I upgrade my browser?

You can upgrade your browser through the Internet Explorer website (www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer) or Firefox website (www.mozilla.com/firefox).

The drop down menu doesn't work - is there anything I can do?

Our menus use Java and JavaScript in order to work correctly. It is possible that you may have these turned off in your Internet browser. Check in your browser settings that Java and Javascript are enabled. Now press the 'refresh' button at the top of the page.

Is the website secure?

Yes! We offer 128-bit encryption during our booking process. Encryption is a way of scrambling sensitive data or information so that it can be securely transmitted across the Internet. 128-bit SSL is one of the most secure levels of encryption available. You will know when you have entered the secure area of our site when you see a padlock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your browser window.





Baggage Enquiries

In the unlikely event that your baggage is damaged or lost, please contact a member of staff immediately on arrival at the airport. Airport staff will then issue you with a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) number. This number must be used in all correspondence relating to your baggage.

To ensure your claim is processed as quickly and efficiently as possible, please send correct correspondence to the respective claims handler as oulined below.

Important information: Samsonite handles all damaged baggage claims only but do not deal with any claims relating to damaged contents within damaged bags. Claims for damaged contents should be sent as a separate claim to Luggage Loss Adjusters.
